Eileen Janet (Spears) Park
Eileen Janet (Spears) Park was born June 17, 1928, to Grover and Naomi Spears at home in Little Rush, Oklahoma. She pased from this life January 10, 2014 at Nocona General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, her parents, four brothers and three sisters - Ovid, Jack, Calvin, Billy, Hester, Pauline and Oweeta.
She is survived by her daughters - Susan and her husband Gary Tyler of Houston, TX, and Donna and her husband Doyle Reynolds of Ryan, Oklahoma, two grandsons - Spence Reynolds and Chance Reynolds, four granddaughters - Kimberly Tyler Atkinson, Kelly Tyler McCarty, Kristy Tyler Goldman and Chelsey Reynolds Elder, and eleven great-grandchildren Kaci, Reese, Tack, Kyley, Molly, Brandon, Brooklyn, Mason, Maddie, Claire, and Emersyn, and siblings - John Spears and sister Joy Evans.
Eileen married Floyd D. Park on February 1, 1947 in Duncan, Oklahoma. They knew each other only a few weeks when they married. They moved to Ryan to open Park's Grocery in 1948, where she worked alongside Floyd for many years. Eileen was an expert seamstress whose creations ranged from Barbie clothes, school costumes and cheerleader skirts to prom dresses and her girls' wedding dresses. She spent many hours painting and crocheting and shared her talents by teaching others and giving away many hand-crafted gifts.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Ryan Church of Christ. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan on Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
