Edward J. Ed Kollasch, age eighty-four, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at his residence in Meridian while under the care of Chisholm Trail Hospice. He was born February 14, 1922, in Purdin, Missouri, to Edward and Emma Kollasch. He married Charlene Null Beck May 21, 1966, in Wichita Falls, Texas. After thirty-seven years of marriage, she preceded him in death December 7, 2003. Ed served in the Armed Forces after graduating from the University of Missouri at Rolla with an Engineering degree. He retired from working with Halliburton Services in 1982, after thirty-two years. Ed enjoyed attending the services at both the Ray of Hope Church and the Rivers of Life Family Church.

Survivors include: one daughter - Linda and her husband Jim Travis of Des Moines, IA; one step-daughter - Carla and her husband Larry Guffee of Katy, TX; two step-sons - David Beck and his wife Rebecca of Plano, TX, and Kreg Beck of Comanche, OK; seven grandchildren - Angela Hodges, Candice Connelly, Coby Beck, Chance Beck, Luke Guffee, Stephen Travis, and Britney Beck.

Funeral services for Mr. Kollasch were at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2006, at the Dudley Funeral Home in Comanche, Oklahoma with Glenn McGee and Dow Pannell officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mde to the Chisholm Trail Hospice.
