Edgar Riggle passed from this life Thursday, February 24, 2005, in the Meridian Nursing Home, at the age of ninety-one. Edgar was born June 6, 1913, in Elmore City, Oklahoma, to Ben and Annie Riggle. On May 3, 1937, Edgar and Lula Mae Taylor were united in marriage in the Stephens County Courthouse in Duncan, Oklahoma. They farmed west of Comanche and became members of the Corum Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife - Lula Mae Riggle, of the home in Comanche, OK; one son - Edgar, Jr., and his wife Kay of Comanche, OK; three daughters - Shirley Jones and her husband Gean of Duncan, OK, Louise Burt and her husband Charles, of Comanche, OK, and Bobbi Gray of Oklahoma City, OK; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services for Mr. Riggle were at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 2005, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche, OK, with Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Corum Baptist Church Building Fund or Chisholm Trail Hospice.
