W. J. "Dub" Park

W. J. "Dub" Park, 88, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life September 19, 2015, in Waurika. He was born May 5, 1927, in Muse, Oklahoma, to W. M. and Mollie "Pyland" Park. He and Patsy Marie McCraw were married November 21, 1951, in Waurika, Oklahoma.
Dub worked for the United States Postal Service and was a long-time member of the Waurika Fire Department. He was one of the founders of the Waurika Rattlesnake Hunt. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika, where he was a deacon and worked for twenty-five years with the summer youth program. He was a member of the Waurika Jaycees for thirty years, and was a member of Masonic Lodge AFAM 531. He served his country in th U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy, and his brothers, Leroy, Floyd and PeeWee Park. 
Survivors include: his sons Roy Don Park of Waurika, OK, and Randy Lynn Park and his wife Patty of Denton, TX; his daughter Rose Marie Castle and her husband Tim of Canandaigua, NY; grandchildren - Davod Carroll, Michael Park, Zooey Carroll, Kristina Hammond, Nick Park, Robby Showalter, and T.J. Castle; great-grandchildren - Aubree Showalter, Aaliyah Showalter, WeBu Findley-Carroll, Malcolm Carroll, India Carroll, Zella Carroll, Alana Park, Orion Patterson, Olivia Villarreal, Kasper Villarreal, and Kaine Villarreal; and great-great grandchildren - Pax Findley-Carroll and Nova Findley-Carroll.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Park at 1:00 PM November 7, 2015, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, with Jeff McLemore officiating.
