Dove Ray was born January 25, 1907, in Hastings, Oklahoma, the tenth of eleven children born to Thomas A. and Martha Elizabeth Cassady Ray. Dove passed from this life Saturday, February 25, 2005, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of ninety-eight. She attended Holly Hill School until the eighth grade and graduated from Hastings High School. She lived on the family farm and cared for her parents and older brother for many years. She was baptized in Beaver Crek in the 1920's.

Survivors include: one sister - Iva Mock of Waurika, OK; four nephews; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services for Ms. Ray were at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at the Hastings Cemetery with Bro. Clarence Mize and Willis Worley, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
