Douglas John Cathey was born September 18, 1920, in Union Valley, Oklahoma to Daniel Otto and Lesie Ann Cathey. He passed from this life on September 1, 2001.

Doug was united in marriage on April 15, 1941, to Mary Bouldin in Waurika, Oklahoma. He worked for thirty years for the Highway Department of the State of Oklahoma. He was the County Foreman. He beloned to the Firefighters Union and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Doug was preceded in death by: his parents and one son - Doug Cathey of Ryan.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary, of the home; one daughter - Carolyn Howard of Ryan, OK; two sisters - Jenny and B.L. Durham of Ryan and Geraldine and James Anderson of Eastland, TX; two brothers - James and Goldie of Duncan, OK, and Charles and Dorothy of Duncan, OK; and his grandchildren - Brad and Jean Ann Howard; Glenn and Robbin Howard, Scott and Jennifer Cathey, Tim and Carol Ann Garrett and Guy and Shelly Mora.
