Dorothy D. McEntire

Dorothy D. McEntire passed from this life Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-five. She was born November 26, 1919, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to George Henry and Mary Leona Casity Dudley.

Dorothy married Robert K. McEntire December 31, 1935, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was self-employed, using her special talents as a seamstress of men's and women's clothing, in addition to making drapes, bedspreads, and interior decorating. Dorothy had a love of flowers - both indoors and out. Her favorite pastimes were cooking and baking to share with her neighbors. She was a member of the Church of Christ since the age of eleven. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: her husband - Robert K. McEntire, of the home in Comanche, OK; two daughters - Robbie Lambert and her husband William of Kingston, OK, and Janet Story and her husband David of Kingston, OK; two grandchildren - Robert A. Story and his wife Heidi of Amber, OK, and Dana Webb and her husband Alan of Jenks, OK; seven great-grandchildren - Robert A. Jr., Sachelle, Justin, and Annabelle Story, and Blake, Jordan and Kylie Webb.

Funeral services for Mrs. McEntire were at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2005, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche, Oklahoma, with William J. Bergener officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
