Doris V. Faulkner was born August 7, 1923, to A.Z. and Willie Mae Thomas, in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Wilkins Nursing Center at the age of 78. She and Ralph Faulkner were married May 18, 1946. Doris was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all those lives she touched. Doris loved to fish, was a great cook, and loved her family very deeply. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include: her mother - Willie Mae Thomas of Snyder, TX; her husband - Ralph Max Faulkner of Waurika, OK; two sons - Ralph R. Faulkner of Waurika, OK, and John Riley of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter - Maxine and husband Joe Owens of Faxon, OK; one brother - A.Z. Thomas of Snyder, TX; and seven grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, A.Z. Thomas and a grandson, Michal C. Faulkner.

Graveside services for Mrs. Faulkner were at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2002 at the Ryan Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
