Donna Ree Slate

Our beautiful and talented mother, daughter, sister, and friend went to be with Jesus Sunday morning February 4, 2018.
Donna Ree Slate was born December 18, 1957, in Corpus Christi, TX, to Ella Ree and Glen Alfred Martin. She married John Stanley Turner in 1975, and to that union was born John Robert Turner and Amy Ree Turner. She later married Billy Coy Slate and they had Jess Alan Slate.
Most of her life, Donna lived in or near Duncan, OK. She was a woman with a compassionate heart and was very involved in the formation and opening of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Duncan. She worked there many years helping young women make difficult decisions. She many times went to schools and gatherings to talk to young people about these issues. Donna loved to draw and she could put words on paper and create a beautiful story. She leaves behind many of these offerings for us to enjoy.
