Donald Ray Holdbrook
Donald Ray Holdbrook was born August 28, 1939 in Brock, Oklahoma to Mary Harkins and Port H. Holdbrook. He passed from this life Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Waurika, Oklahoma at the age of 72. He served his country in the National Guard. He owned and operated a parts store, worked for Burgess Industry, and worked on the farm. Don also loved to fish. He and Ruthie Holdbrook were married January 12, 1994 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2006.
He is survived by his siblings Birdie Erwin and husband C.M. of Byers, Texas, Jr. Holdbrook and wife Freeda of Wichita Falls, Texas, Tom Holdbrook and Billie of Temple, Oklahoma, Roy Holdbrook and Sharon of Burkburnett, Texas, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, a close friend Bill Campiche of Comanche, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife - Ruthie, and siblings - Dollie Smith, Billy Hooper, Nette Baxter, and Alfred "Hank" Holdbrook.
Graveside service for Mr. Holdbrook will be at 1:00PM Friday, March 16, 2012 at Hastings Cemetery with Buddy Hooper officiating. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from noon - 7PM with family receiving visitors from 5:30-7PM and Friday from 9AM-noon.
