Donald Glenn Curtis passed from this life Monday, August 5, 2002, at the age of sixty-six. He was born November 20, 1935, to Lewis Ross Curtis and Lorene Ellis in Comanche, Oklahoma. He and Josephine Brezina were united in marriage on December 23, 1955, in Marlow, Oklahoma. Mr. Curtis was a rancher and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Addington Baptist Church and was also a member of the local 344 Pipefitters Union of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Survivors include: his wife, Josie, of the home; one son -Darrel Curtis and his wife Lorry, of Waurika, OK; one daughter - Vickie Behrens and her husband Carl of Waurika, OK; one brother L.R. Curtis and his wife Beth, of Comanche, OK; two sisters - Nelda Hill of Oklahoma City, OK, and Syble Griffith of Duncan, OK; five grandchildren - Hannah Young and her husband Chris, Hayley Curtis, Larimey Curtis, and Audrey Joe Curtis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Ross and Lorene Ellis Curtis, and one sister.
Funeral services for Mr. Curtis were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 12, 2002, in the Addington Baptist Church with Joe Ligon, Dee Bowen and Mike Bernhardt officiating. Burial was in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society, Baptist Children's Home, or to the Addington Cemetery Association.
