Darrell Gene Wallace
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend Darrell Gene Wallace passed on to his heavenly home October 22, 2014 at his home in Inwood, West Virginia at the age of 68.
Darrell Gene was born March 21,1946 in Orr, Oklahoma to Beaulah Bell (Black) and Frank D.Wallace. He and Edeltraud E. "Susie" Schomberg were married December 30, 1966 in Germany. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the Federal Government as an electrical engineer for 32 years and 2 days. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking care of his grandbabies. He loved to be involved with his grandchildren, especially cheering them on at their sporting events. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings - Irene Hartman, John Wallace and Dewey Wallace.
He is survived by his wife - Susie of the home in Inwood, West Virginia, three sons- Derk Wallace and wife Michelle of Mineola, Texas, Shawn Wallace and wife Stephanie of Charles Town, West Virginia, and Gene Wallace of Mineola, Texas, siblings - Alene Lyons, Edgar Wallace, Peggy Parker, Jerry Wallace, Judy Delaney, Glenda Hood, and Geary Wallace, grandchildren - Megan, Joshua, Kaylyn, Kiersten, Tyler and great grandchild -Ari.
Funeral service for Mr. Wallace will be Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Addington Baptist Church in Addington. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Viewing will be from 10AM-noon Monday morning at the funeral home.
