Darrell Wayne Black was born December 30, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to Leon and Cindy Umholtz Black. He passed from this life Monday, March 14, 2011 at OU Medical Center at the age of 58. Darrell was a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching westerns, and working crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his mother - Cindy Black, children - Jason Wayne Black of Dallas, Texas, Jenny Michelle Black of Hugo, Oklahoma, and Dusty Leon Black of Andrews AFB, Maryland, four grandchildren - Gage Black of Hugo, Oklahoma, Preston Black of Colorado Springs, CO. and Hunter and Hayden Black of Yukon, Oklahoma, Siblings - Roger Black of Waurika, Brenda Roberts of Bartlesville, Sheryl Hoggatt of Norman, Diana Michel of Comanche, Rick Black of Waurika, and Laura Acher of Galveston, Texas, aunts and uncles - Leon and Bertie Umholtz, Dorothy and Don Thiessen, John and Sharon Umholtz, Harold and Sandy Umholtz, Aggie and Bill Freeman, Tommy and Judy Umholtz, and Earl and Alice Umholtz, and girlfriend - Diana Lusk.

Funeral Service for Mr. Black will be Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2:00PM at the Ray of Hope Church with Dow Pannell and Mike McCord officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from noon - 8PM and Friday from 9AM-8PM. Memorials may be made to OU Medical Center.
