Connie Lynn Spivey

Connie Lynn was born November 18, 1950 in Waurika to Glen Dale and Helen Hoffman Morgan. Connie passed from this life Monday, March 29, 2010 in Houston, Texas at the age of fifty-nine. Connie graduated from Waurika High School in 1969. She continued her education in Ada where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and then on to Midwestern State University. Connie taught third grade at Klein School District in Houston. She also taught special education and gifted and talented. Connie and John Gibbons were married December 7, 1973. This union brought two children Katrice and Taryn. Connie and Sam Spivey were married March 17, 1993 in Jamaica. She enjoyed cultivating her relationships with her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She was a passionate supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

She leaves behind her husband - Sam, daughters - Katrice Volkert and Taryn Gibbons both of Houston, son - Brandon Spivey of Virginia, grandsons - Clay and Glen Volkert both of Houston, mother - Helen Morgan of Waurika, brother and sister in law - Ronnie and Sharon Morgan of Waurika, and nephew - Matthew Glen Morgan of Malibu, California.

She was preceded in death by her father Glen Dale Morgan on January 31, 2001.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 1:30PM at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Jeff McLemore and Ronnie Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-7PM at the funeral home in Waurika. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
