Clifford E. Blalock, Sr. was born April 2, 1919, to Edgar and Ila Fay Blalock in Hastings, Oklahoma. He passed from this life August 6, 2001 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Clifford was married to Martha L. Downey on February 10, 1942, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 22, 1991. He retired from Comanche Seed & Grain in 1971. He was a member of VFW Post 1192.

Clifford is survived by: two sons - Clifford Blalock, Jr. and Evert Blalock, both of Duncan, OK; one daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Ed Olds of Duncan; one brother, Earl and Jewel Blalock of Mt. View, OK; three sisters, Ila Ruth and Aubrey Sears of Duncan, OK, Clara and Claude Kephart of Duncan, and Juanita and Jimmy Wolfe of Yukon, OK; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Blalock; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and one sister.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 9, 2001 at Diamond Cemetery with W.W. Harkins under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
