Clarence Vernon West passed from this life Monday, August 9, 2004, at the age of sixty-five. He was born June 23, 1939. Mr. West was a plumbing inspector for City of Virginia Beach. He was in the Coast Guard while serving in the Navy. He and Debra Ann Reynolds were united in marriage on May 20, 1989, in Virginia Beach, VA. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2002. Mr. West was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

Survivors include: two sons, both of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Sharon Potts, of Virginia Beach, VA; one step-daughter, Cheryl Shriver of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Pat of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mary of Houston, TX; and ten grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Ann.

A memorial service was held by the family Saturday, August 14, 2004.
