Clara Foster Lette

Clara Foster Lette passed from this life Monday, Jul7 28, 2003, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, at the age of ninety-five. She was born September 30, 1907, to Nick Daniel Foster and Clester Mae Foster, in Jonestown, Texas. Ms. Lette attended OCU in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She taught school for two years in Melrose, Oklahoma. She then became a manicurist. Clara owned her own shop which was located in the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked as a manicurist for thirty years. She was active in her church (Episcopal) uner her her health became too poor for her to go. She loved football and had season tickets for the OU games in Norman.

Survivors include: three sisters-in-law - Chlodelle Foster of Weleetka, OK, Bobbie Fitzgerald of Waurika, OK, and Iva Mock of Waurika, OK; four nieces - June Adkins of Weleetka, OK, Patty Seger of Galveston, TX, Jackie Sherrod of Muskogee, OK, and Jane Bea Sanders of Hasting, OK; and four nephews - Forrest Foster of McAlester, OK, Nick Foster of Hasting, OK, Joe Frank Foster of Waurika, OK, and Raymond Foster of Truth or Consequences, NM.

Mrs. Lette was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Clester Foster, three brothers - J.B. Foster, Frank Foster, and Lavern Foster, and one sister Imogene Foster.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lette were ate 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Ernest Maddon officiating. Burial was in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
