Christine Roberts was born July 22, 1927 in Loco, Oklahoma, to M.A. Rice and Viola Dillon Rice. She passed from this life Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy-seven. She graduated from Alma High School. She married Lawrence Grover Roberts on March 28, 1947, in Ryan, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school classes, vacation Bible school, and Royal Rangers. She was the youth leader and she loved to help children learn the Bible.

Survivors include: two sons - Larry and his wife Jeannie Roberts and Glenn and his wife Michel Roberts; two daughters - Brenda Estep and Paula Driggers, all of Waurika, OK; one brother - Kenneth and his wife Birdean Rice of Waurika, OK; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of fifty-eight years, Lawrence Grover Roberts.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Roberts were at 2:00 PM, Saturday July 16, 2005, at the Assembly of God Church in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Rev. Kelly Roberts and Rev. Eric Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Sugden Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
