T. H. "Choc" Dennard

T. H. "Choc" Dennard was born September 4, 1925 in Sugden, Oklahoma to Jasper H. and Georgia Dee Holcomb Dennard. He passed from this life Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home east of Waurika at the age of 88.
Choc and Jewel were married November 22, 1942 in Waurika. Choc worked as a supervisor for Austin Bridge Co. for over 40 + years before his retirement in 1987. Retirement didn't last long for Choc, he started helping with upkeep of the Waurika Cemetery in 1995 and served as cemetery superintendent for over 16 years.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years - Jewel Dennard of the home, children T. H. Chuck Dennard, Jr. and wife Olivia, Karen Walsh, daughter in law - Barbara Dennard, sister - Betty Ogle, grandchildren - Brenda Griffit, Tim Dennard, Carey Young, Kristi Goolsby and husband Robert, Melissa Reeves and husband Charlie, and Rachel Shelley, great grandchildren - Kelsi Dennard, Austin Dennard, Raighan Reeves, Hailey, Madison, Kyle, and Trevor Young, and his adopted twins -Florencia Ruiz and Dominga Torrez and his beloved caregivers - Amie Whitted and Shannon Grant.
Choc was preceded in death by his parents, son - Larry Dennard, and brother Laverne "Irishman" Dennard. Graveside service will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Waurika Cemetery with Noel Curington officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from noon - 8PM with family receiving visitors from 4-6PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
