Charles Harold Chick Cathey, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2001, in the Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of 73. He was born April 11, 1928, in Ryan Oklahoma, to Daniel and Lessie Ann Driskell Cathey. Chick was a retired electrician, a member of the Lawton VFW, and a member of the Nazarene Church in Duncan. He was in the United States Navy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he also loved to be with his family and friends.

Chick and Dorthy Wagner were married November 1, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is survived by: his wife Dorthy, of the home; five children and three step-children - Brenda and Pee Wee Anderson of Del-nort, CO, Charles Bud Cathey, Jr. of Okinawa, Japan, Dan Cathey of Berthoud, CO, Lessie and Mickey McAdams of Mesa, AZ, Randy and Donna Cathey of Iowa Park, TX, Debbie and Carl Ratchford of Davis, OK, Sharon and Jimmy Wilson of Roff, OK, and Richard and Dana Collins of Tuttle, OK; one brother - James Cathey of Duncan, OK; two sisters - Jerri Anderson of Eastland, TX and Jenny Durham of Ryan, OK; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

Chick was preceded in death by: his parents, one grandson - Brandon Charles Harman; and his oldest brother, Doug Cathey.

Memorial services were held Friday, October 19, 2001, at 1:00 PM at the Ryan United Methodist Church with Steve Harshaw officiating. Services were under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
