Charlton Tommy Tomerlin

Charlton Tommy Tomerlin passed from this life Friday, February 28, 2003, at his home in Ft. Worth, Texas, at the age of seventy-two. He was born August 6, 1930, to Earl and Callie Tomerlin in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was next to the youngest of eight children. He grew up and graduated high school in Mineral Wells. He and Pegg were united in marriage on February 26, 1958, in Terral, Oklahoma. Tommy and Peggy resided in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he worked as a salesman and warehouseman until he retired in 1991 because of ill health.

Survivors include: his wife Peggy, of the home in Ft. Worth, TX; two sons - Dennis and his wife Arden of North Richland Hills, TX, and Garry and his wife Catherine of Mansfield, TX; one daughter - Pamela Carter and her husband Gary of Ft. Worth, TX; eight grandchildren - Chelsea Tomerlin of Waxahachie, TX, Benjamyn and Spencer of North Richland Hills, TX; Carey and Collin of Burleson,TX; Cory, Cody and Megan Carter of Ft. Worth, TX; two brothers - Harold and his wife Murlene of Houston, TX, and Edward of San Antonio, TX; one brother-in-law - Raymond Duke and his wife Tammy of Terral, OK; three sisters-in-law - Margaret Tomerlin of Weatherford, TX, Christine Tomerlin of Garner, TX, and Loma Wells and her husband Max of Waurika, OK; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by one son, Robert Lynn, two brothers, T.B. and Earl Tomerlin, Jr., three sisters, Hazel Snyder, Mildred Kampman, and Marie Barnett, his mother-in-law, Maude Duke and his father-in-law, Noah Duke.

Funeral services for Mr. Tomerlin were at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 3, 2003, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Terral with Rev. Ronald Ebert officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral.
