Charles Darwood Roberts

Charles Darwood Roberts, 75, of Burkburnett, Texas, passed from this life on March 14, 2019. He was born in Ryan, Oklahoma, on November 18, 1943, and raised in Grady, Oklahoma. He attended grade school in Grady and graduated from Ringling High School, Ringling, Oklahoma in 1961. He married Diane Burden on July 2, 1966.

He spent eight years in the United States Air Force and twelve years in the United States Army Reserves, He loved hunting and playing golf, and enjoyed keeping score at the softball complex.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Irene (Miller) Roberts and sister, Velma Sims.

He is survived by his wife Diane; brother-in-law Teddy Burden and his wife Mary, brother-in-law Harold Burden and his wife Naomi; six nephews, five nieces; numerous great nephews and nieces, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 18, 2019, with Ricky Phillips officiating, at the Ryan Cemetery in Ryan, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 and from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan, Oklahoma.
