Cecilia Iris (Cole) Petit
Cecilia Iris (Cole) Petit, 76, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life Wednesday, August 10, 2016, in Waurika. She was born May 27, 1940, to Cecil and Edna (Williford) Cole.
Cecilia and Thomas Floyd Petit were married September 9, 1960, in Vernon, Texas. She was a homemaker and for a time worked with home health services and in a nursing home. She also studied cosmetology. She enjoyed working with flowers. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Vernon.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Floyd.
Survivors include: her son Mike Petit of Waurika/Addington, OK; and her sisters—Carolyn Canada of Waurika, OK, and Kay Petit of Seymour, TX.
Funeral services for Mrs. Petit will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Waurika Church of Christ with HoHo Petit officiating. Burial will follow in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Gary Parker, Willie Timberlake, Todd Yancey, Pat Cowan, Larry Burnett and Paul Cowan. Honorary pallbearer will be George Williams. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
