Cecil P. Cat Hensley

Cecil Cat Hensley passed from this life Thursday, May 13, 2004, in the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-four. Cat was born February 16, 1920, in Coal County, Oklahoma, to Coy and Melissa Hensley. He served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II. He and Lera Alene Weldon were united in marriage January 3, 1946. She preceded him in death August 1, 1990. He and Willene Doughty were married August 19, 1991, in Henrietta, Texas.

Survivors include: one daughter - Annita Barnett and her husband Roger of Frederick, OK; two step-daughters - Carla Doughty of Arlington, TX, and Janice Doughty of Edmond, OK; one sister - Cricket Spencer of Comanche, OK; one special sister-in-law - Vesper Hensley, of Comanche, OK; three grandchildren - Josh and Karla of Pond Creek, OK, and Katie of Frederick, OK; two great-grandchildren - Zach and Drew; and several nieces and nephews.

Cat was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Alene, in 1990, his parents, five brothers - Pete, Elmer, Mike and Dutch, and one sister, Shorty Brown.

Funeral services for Mr. Hensley were at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2004, at the Comanche United Methodist Church, with Tracy Wilson and Brandon Dollarhite officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
