Ceburn Boyd Lovett passed away in the early morning of November 25, 2011 at the age of 70. He was born April 25th , 1941 to Grover Dee Lovett and Mildred Echols of Waurika, Oklahoma. Ceburn was a hard worker and had jobs that covered all ends of the spectrum. Working at the jail, providing drinking water and water softeners to customers across the states of Texas and Oklahoma, and if you needed your lawn taken care of he was the man to call. Ceburn served as the Mayor and City Council Member for Waurika from May 1979 to May 1994 and was also a member of ASCOG. He also founded the Meals on Wheels program in Jefferson County and served for six years in the National Guard.

One brother Kenneth Lovett preceded him in death. His wife Bobbie Lovett remains a close part of the family.

Ceburn was a member of the Waurika Church of Christ since 1973 where he served as a Deacon and drove the church bus for 15 years.

Ceburn loved life, his family, his friends, and his church. Every meal he ate was "the best he ever had". Ceburn's sense of humor was always present and a smile was always on his face. If you had a place you needed to get to, it was best you didn't talk to Ceburn because he could talk to you for hours on end, even if he didn't know your name. He loved to travel and enjoyed the regular family trips to Colorado with his children, family, and friends.

Funeral Service for Mr. Lovett will be Monday, November 28 at 11:00AM at the Church of Christ in Waurika. Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Dudley Funeral Home from 1-6PM.
