C.D. Foster

C.D. Foster passed from this life Tuesday, February 4, 2003, in the Jefferson County Hospital, at the age of eighty-two. He was born March 11, 1920, to Robert Lee and Ursula Bigham Foster in Waurika, Oklahoma. He and Wanna Foster were united in marriage on February 8, 1946, in Waurika, Oklahoma. Mr. Foster taught in Ringling, Oklahoma and Midwest City, Oklahoma. He retired from teaching in 1978. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor, a member of the United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer. During his golf career he made eleven holes-in-one.

Survivors include: his wife, Wanna, of the home in Waurika, OK; one son, Rodney Foster of Florida; one daughter Dr. Sacra Nicholas of Norman, OK; two brothers - Robert Curley Foster of Hurt, TX, and Cotton Foster of Illinois; one sister Mary Ellen Rosier Usher of Oklahoma City, OK; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Ursula Foster, one brother and one sister.

Memorial services were held for Mr. Foster at 2:00 PM, Saturday, at the United Methodist Church in Waurika with Reed Montgomery officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Waurika Golf Course %Bob Brown at the United Methodist Church.
