Carol Joyce Merrill was born June 11, 1942, in Miami, Arizona, to Owen E. Chesley and Ada Lee Campbell Chesley. She passed from this life June 7, 2005, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-two. She was retired from the Republican Gazette Newspaper where she worked in ad sales. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Duncan, Oklahoma. She loved old-time music and playing the organ. She was a member of the Mystery Guild Book Club. Her heart was full of love for her family and she gave her all on their bahalf. All who knew her loved her.

Survivors include: her mother - Ada Lee Chesley; two daughters - Elaine Elizabeth Weinheimer and Holly Joyce Merrill; and one brother - Owen Eugene Chesley.

Graveside services for Mrs. Merrill were at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 13, at the Emery Cemetery in Geronimo, Arizona.
