Carolina Kennedy Harris
Carolina Kennedy Harris was born February 11, 1939 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Simon and Maxine Maple Kennedy. She passed from this life Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika at the age of 73.
Carol and Joe Harris were united in marriage June 17, 1955 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Carol was a Waurika High School graduate. Carol loved music and especially playing the piano. She taught piano lessons and was an amazing pianist. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She played the piano for various events throughout the community. She was a homemaker. (in her words a domestic engineer)
Survivors include: Faith Kennedy Smith and her husband Kinley and Rasha Kennedy Babbitt and her husband Tony, Melody Stewart and husband Russell of Beaver, Oklahoma and Leisha Harris Justus and husband Michael of Woodward, Oklahoma, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her beloved husband Joe Harris and her brother, Reese Kennedy.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:30AM at the First United Methodist church in Waurika with Rev. Karen Slater officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Memorial contributions made be made to the Humane Society, American Heart Association or the Waurika High School Music Department.
