William Carnelia Carl Blanton

William Carnelia (Carl) Blanton was born in Honey Grove, Texas on March 11, 1940 to James and Alice Ravan Blanton. Mr. Blanton passed from this life January 1, 2013 in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 72. He and Virginia Ruth Mills were married April 6, 1963 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957-1960. He lived in Texas all his life except while serving in the military. He was a retired truck driver and mechanic. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his sons - James Blanton and Melissa Bentley, Randy Blanton and Eva Holliman, daughters - Elizabeth Manshack, and Beverly and Chance Miracle all of Burkburnett, Texas, sister - Inez Peeler of Port La Vaca, Texas, ten granddaughters, four grandsons, and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife - Virginia, grandson - Jeremy, brothers - James and Joel, and sisters - Wanda, Pauline, and Dorothy.
Funeral service for Mr. Blanton will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at Red River Cowboy Church in Burkburnett with Bro. Finley officiating. Burial will be in the Byers Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Viewing will be Thursday from 1PM-9PM with family receiving visitors from 6-8PM at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.
