Oliver Vernon (Buck) Lott
Oliver Vernon Lott, 81, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life May 23, 2020. He was born April 22, 1939, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Jim and Etta Lott. Until he retired he worked for the Gerken-Richardson Auto Dealership in Waurika. He married Evelyn Lewis, to whom he was devoted, in 1967. She preceded him in death March 20, 2020. He was a member and Deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Waurika, Ok, a member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Temple, Ok, and most recently a member of First Baptist Church in Waurika, Ok. Buck was a fisherman and loved to fish with his cherished friends Alfred Castle and Billy Mims. He also loved to garden and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Jacob, sister Joyce, sons Michael, Wayne and Willie, grandchild Lee, and great grandchild Morice.
Survivors include: Daughters- Camille Smith (Tom) of Moore, Ok, Sharron Lewis of Lawton, Ok, Eveline Joan Christian Blue (Reggie)of Killeen, TX, and Angela Lott Newby (Henry) of Oklahoma City, OK. Six brothers- Larry Kirkland, Ray Lott, Rick Lott, Sylvester Lott, Kerry Lott, Tyrone Lott. Sisters- Vici Gaines, Cynthia Curry, Sheila Mason, Kristie McGee. three- grandsons- Richard Smith, Ricky Lott, Jr. , and Russell Berrien; three granddaughters-Camellia X Smith, Annika Newby and Adrianna Newby; and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May, 30, 2020, at Waurika Cemetery with Bruce Humphries officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery, under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Waurika. The family asks that all mourners please wear face masks.
