Roy Edward Buck Cullar passed from this life Tuesday, October 8, 2002, in the Westbrook Care Center at the age of ninety-one. He was born March 13, 1911, to James and Birdie Cullar, in Caddo, Oklahoma. He was the owner/operator of Cullar Hardware. He and Mildred Dollar were married on January 17, 1933, in Waurika, Oklahoma. Mr. Cullar was a member of the First Christian Church and the Waurika Lions Club.

Survivors include: his wife, Mildred, of Waurika, OK; one son, Royce Cullar of Waurika, OK; one daughter, Ginger Richardson; two granddaughters - Mendy and Stacy Warner, and Ginger Richardson; three grandsons - John and Meg Cullar, Rick and Kym Cullar, and Chad Cullar; and six great-grandchildren - Chloe, Claire and Conner Cullar, Joseph and Carter Cullar, and Paxton Richardson.

Funeral services for Mr. Cullar were at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2002, in the First Christian Church of Waurika, with Curtis Plant officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Waurika.
