Bruce Stanley was born March 3, 1917, in Waurika, Oklahoma to Beulas and Ella Bybee Stanley. Bruce passed from this life Saturday, September 9, 2006, at his home in Waurika, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and rancher. He was also a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika. Bruce and Opal Brantley were married March 3, 1939, in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: his wife, Opal, of the home in Waurika, OK; three children - Jerry Bruce Stanley of Walters, OK, Dennis Charles Stanley of Duncan, OK, and Jimmie Don Stanley of Houston, TX; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Derr, and four sisters, Edith Qualls, Faye Brown, Bylle Porter, and Betty Richardson, and one grandson.

Funeral services for Mr. Stanley were at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Rev. Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
