Brian George Major

Brian George Major, 47, of Burkburnett, Texas, passed from this life June 9, 2019. He was born August 26, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Cal and Dana (Chambers) Major. He married Kasey (Johnson) December 16, 1995, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
He graduated from Ryan High School in 1990 and from Oklahoma State University in the spring of 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. He was a member of the Burkburnett First United Methodist Church. He coached for four years for the Iowa Park Independent School District, and for the Burkburnett Independent School District for fourteen years, worked for Blackrock services for two years and was a Farmers Insurance Agent in Waurika, Oklahoma for four years. He was a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association, and the Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Glen and Fern Major and George and Jane Chambers and his mother-in-law Ann Johnson.
Survivors include: his wife Kasey of the home; his parents Cal and Dana Major of Ryan, OK; his sons Cal Hayden Major and Kason Major of Burkburnett, Texas and his daughter Kamryn Major of Burkburnett, TX; his brother Glen and his wife Sherry Major of Edmond, OK; his sister Lisa and her husband Tony Fleetwood of Marlow, OK; his father-in-law Cline Johnson of Kingston, OK; his brother-in-law Rob Johnson and his wife Kristie of Wichita Falls, TX; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Burkburnett, Texas, with Bobby Waitman and Liz Talbert officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Ryan Oklahoma Cemetery at 4:00 PM. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika.
