Brenda Gail Cathey

Brenda Gail (Duncan) Cathey, 62, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Monday, February 23, 2015, in Ryan. She was born February 25, 1952, in Bowie, Texas, to John Elbert and Meleta Darlene Duncan.

She was married to James Harold Cathey on August 18, 1970 in Henrietta, Texas. She finished high school and worked as a CNA at the Ryan Nursing Home for fifteen years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents John and Darlene Duncan.

Survivors include: her husband Harold of the home in Ryan, OK; her children - Crystal and her husband Jimmy Brooks of Holdenville, OK, Amanda and her husband Willie Timberlake of Ryan, OK, and Dottie and her husband Jeff Burleson of Duncan, OK; her sister Birdena Crawford of Ryan, OK; and three granddaughters - Sierra Hamm of Ryan, OK, Savanna Brooks of Holdenville, OK, and Jaycee Brooks of Holdenville, OK.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Ryan Cemetery with Ricky Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 24, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan. Pallbearers will be Mike Weatherly, Darrin Dobbs, Brian Dalton, Jeff Wiest, Dustan Bryant, and Larry Morrison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chisholm Trail Hospice or Cancer Centers of America.
