Betty Louise Shelby

Betty Louise Shelby was born January 10, 1934, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to W.N. and Mildred Huey. Betty passed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 67. She passed away Thursday, October 11, 2001, at her home in Comanche. Betty and Billy F. Shelby were married November 5, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was the office manager for the family company - Shelby Industries. Betty devoted her life to helping people with her number one hobby which was cooking. She also loved fishing and traveling in their travel trailer. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her first stroke was October 30, 1966, and Billy has cared for her at home since then.

She leaves behind: her husband Billy, of the home; her mother - Mildred Huey of Comanche, OK; one son - Ronnie F. Shelby, and his wife Lori of Comanche; one daughter - Connie Clinkenbeard and her husband Joe of Comanche; one sister - Pat Love of Colorado Springs, CO; fourteen grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 13, 2001, at 10:00 AM, at the Ray of Hope Church with Mike McCord and Dow Pannell officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Pallbearers were her grandsons - Billy Chad Lindsey, Brandon Lindsey, Chris Shelby, Tim Shelby, Chase Lindsey, and Kolby Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
