Betty was born in Waurika, Oklahoma on July 24, 1935 to Dallas and Volena Farabough. Upon the untimely death of Volena Farabough, her maternal grandparents, Charles and Viola Stovall, adopted her. Betty was a Richmond/Rosenberg resident for numerous years and active with her church, Graeber Road Church of Christ. She worked as an LVN, first in nursing homes, later on as a home health visiting nurse and finally retired from the Richmond State School after over ten years of dedicated service. She went to be with the LORD on Friday, March 16, 2007 in Richmond, Texas.

She is survived by:

Children: Debbie Shaw and husband, Bruce of Richmond TX,
Matt Pearce and wife Alauna of Knoxville, TN,
Angela Riblet of Corpus Christi TX;

Grandchildren: Bradley Shaw,
Travis, Michael and Nick Pearce,
Veralyn and Spencer Furbay;

She also had a special child she considered her very own granddaughter, Miceala Escoshea, whom she cared for since she was born.

Ms. Pearce, Betty, Mother, Mema, was much loved and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Those who knew her best know that her love of Elvis Presley and the Blue Bell Ice Cream was surpassed only by her devotion to her LORD and her children and grandchildren.
