Betty June Edwards

Betty June Edwards, 89, died August 13, 2014, in Country Club Care nursing home in Duncan. Services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 16, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Tracy Garrison officiating. Interment will be in the Waurika Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Betty was born June 2, 1925, to Erwin H. Bell and Alleen (Coats) Bell. On June 26, 1943, Betty married Floyd D. Edwards in Waurika, Oklahoma, and to that union were born five children who survive her - Harriet McCarthy of Duncan, OK, Dennis Edwards and his wife Rahe of Sulphur, OK, Kevin Michael Edwards and his wife Ollie of Fox, OK, Lynn Griffith and her husband Leroy of Lone Grove, OK, and Tommy D. Edwards and his wife Rachelle of Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, and two nieces and three nephews, including a very special nephew Mike Bell and family of Yorba Linda, CA.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers - William D. (Bill) Bell and Edwin J. Bell, and son-in-law Joe McCarthy.

Betty lived her life for her children, grandchildren and family. She was happiest when all of her kids were together celebrating any occasion.

The family would like to thank all of the Country Club Care staff for the excellent and compassionate care of our Mother.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
