Bertha Mae Martin was born February 20, 1913, in Petersburg, Oklahoma, to Mary Francis and Mordie K. Duke. She passed from this life Sunday, February 19, 2006, at her home in Terral at the age of ninety-two (one day shy of her ninety-third birthday). She and Marvin Savoy Martin were married October 31, 1930, in Terral, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the Terral Church of Christ.

Survivors include; her son Weldon Martin and his wife Doris of Terral, OK; her daughter Florence Turner of Muskogee, OK; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martin were at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2006, at the Terral Church of Christ with Larry Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
