Bennie Lee Padgett
Bennie Lee Padgett (89) was born October 1, 1928 to Leo and Hazel (Seeley) Padgett in Westcliffe, Colorado and passed from this life January 30, 2018 in Waurika, Oklahoma.
After high school graduation, Bennie joined the U.S. Navy and was proud to serve aboard the USS Rupertus DD851 where he was a gunner's mate and petty officer second class.
He was united in marriage to Mary Ann James on December 20, 1950 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Harrah, Oklahoma. He and Mary Ann were the owners/operators of Harrah Lockers for twenty-six years where he did custom meat processing.
Along with his love of playing golf, he was a great Christian man who loved his family and great-grandchildren with all of his heart. Even though Bennie and Mary Ann were members of St. Theresa Catholic Church, they attended the First Baptist Church in Waurika, Oklahoma where they made many friends and became part of the church's family.
Bennie is survived by his wife of sixty-six years Mary Ann Padgett of Hastings, Oklahoma.
Three daughters,
Patricia and her husband Alan Conger of Tulsa, Oklahoma and their children: Allison and Leah and one great-grandchild, Trip Bendell.
Tamara and her husband Jeff Tabor of Choctaw, Oklahoma and their children: Michelle and her husband Jared Dyer, Katie and her husband Lance Coker,
Cheyenne Owens and his wife Tara, Rebecca and her husband Adam Wilson and great-grand children, Ace and Jet Dyer, Marshall, Josie, and Lexie Owens and Marena Wilson.
