Barbara Jean Roper Andrews of Comanche, Oklahoma, was born October 4, 1930, in Phoenix, Arizona, and passed away May 25, 2004, at Duncan Regional Hospital. Barbara served the medical community for many years as an Xray technician in Oklahoma and Texas. She was a member of Ray of Hope Church in Comanche.

Survivors include: her daughter Thelma Raelene Nelson and her husband Eric; her granddaughter Katherine Elizabeth Nelson; her sisters Frances Louise Jones and her husband Pat, and Martha Ann Sherrill and her husband David; her nephew Andy Jones and his wife Vicky; her niece Amy Bidlack and her husband Dr. James Bidlack; her grandnieces Tiffany Jones and Hanna Bidlack; and grandnephews Patrick Jones and Jeff Travis.

She was preceded in death by her parents David Andrews Roper and Thelma Formby Roper, her brother David Jack Roper and her nephew Richard Darrell Jones.

Funeral services for Mrs. Andrews were at 1:30 PM, May 27, 2004, at Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, with Dow Pannell and Mike McCord officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
