Annie Christine Lester passed from this life on May 3, 2002, in the Jefferson County Hospital, at the age of 89. She was born August 12, 1912, to William Bishop and Mary Ann Elizabeth Leavelle, in Leesburg, Texas. She and her family moved to Terral, Oklahoma when Christine was a teenager. Christine married Ardie B. Lester on April 27, 1943. They made their home in Terral until 1948, and moved to Wichita Falls. She was an active member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include: one sister - Lillian Leavelle Renner of Waurika, OK; seven nephews and one niece.

She is preceded in death by her husband, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lester at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 6, 2002, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joyal Leavelle and Tommy Hickey officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
