Ann Franklin

Ann Harrod Franklin, 56, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, January 5, 2014, in Ryan. She was born December 6, 1957, in Ryan, to Robert Burton and Adrianne Veach Burnett.

She and Rick Franklin were married February 10, 1995, in Ryan. She worked as a waitress in Jay's Restaurant in Hastings, was secretary at Ryan High School, and worked at Ryan Drug.

Ann was preceded in death by her father Robert Burton Harrod, her grandmother Frances Harrod, her grandfather Bill Harrod, her grandmother Eula Veach, and her step-father Clabe Burnett III.

Survivors include: her husband Rick Franklin, of the home in Ryan, OK; her mother Adrianne Burnett of Plano, TX, two sons - Matthew Adam Smith, and Justin Franklin and his wife Brittany; three daughters - Amanda Harvey and Krystal and her husband Joe George, Brandy and her husband John Hobbs; grandchildren - Daniel Smith, Shalynn and Leann George, and Jaiden and Jayce Hobbs; brother Brad Harrod and his wife Elaine; sister Kim Aseltine; nephews Scott and Bryan Aseltine; niece Maddie Harrod; and two aunts - Elaine and her husband Ray Brennan, and Marian Burnett Burden.

Funeral services for Mrs. Franklin will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 10, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Ryan with Mark Kunkel officiating. Come and go visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Justin Franklin, John Hobbs, Mr. Ninman, Billy Cotton, Cal Major and Joe George. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
