Alice Faye Herndon

Alice Faye Herndon, age 75, a resident of NRH passed away on May 9, 2013.

She was born, May 19, 1937 in Healdton, OK to Jesse and Velma Winslett. She had 2 brothers, Don and Kenneth and 3 sisters, Geraldine, Jessie and Elaine. She married Charles Phillip Herndon on Jan. 28, 1957 and moved to Ft. Worth, TX. She was a Sr. Loan Officer when she retired from Tarrrant County Emp. Credit Union after 16 yrs of service. She was a member of Birdville Church of Christ since 1972, a former charter member of Midtown and Riverside Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons and their wives: Keith Mark Herndon and Tammy, John David Herndon and Rosario and James Michael Herndon and Donna. 8 Grandchildren: Shanda Herndon-Shaw and husband Steven, Wesley Smith and wife Heather, David Herndon, Brandon Herndon, Tara Herndon-Deweese and husband Justin, Josh Smith and wife Rashea, Elizabeth Herndon and Michael Herndon. 3 Great Grandchildren: Jade, Cayden and Aubrey.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Charles P. Herndon, her parents Jesse and Velma Winslett, her brother Kenneth, and sisters, Geraldine, Jessie and Elaine.

Visitation will be held on Sat., May 11, 2013 at 2 – 4 p.m. at Birdville Church of Christ, 3208 Carson St., Haltom City, TX. Graveside services to be held at the Waurika Cemetery in Waurika, OK on Mon., May 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Birdville Church of Christ or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
