Albert Ray Williams

Albert Ray Williams was born March 1, 1930, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Henry and Zola Williams and passed from this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in the early morning hours at Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of seventy-three.

Albert lived in the Comanche area all his life. He attended the Comanche Schools. He was employed at Halliburton and retired in 1999. After his retirement from Halliburton he worked at Jerry Wilson's machine shop. He and Norma Nadine Driggers were married in Sherman, Texas, on October 26, 1948.

Survivors include: his wife, Nadine, of the home in Comanche, OK; two sons and daughters-in-law - Larry and Robin Williams of Houston, TX, and Terry and Debi Williams of Comanche, OK; four grandchildren - Kristi Williams of Austin, TX, Justin Williams of The Woodlands, TX, Matt and Cody Kenney of Oklahoma City, OK, and Rachel Couch of Marlow, OK; one great-grandchild - Jillian Couch; one sister and brother-in-law - May and Pete McCall of Marlow, OK; one sister - Ruth Snelling of Bedford, TX; and one brother and sister-in-law - Roy and Trudy Williams of Loco, OK.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister - Ruby Allen

Funeral services for Mr. Williams were at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Ray of Hope Church with Dow Pannell and Wayne Houston officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Pallbearers were Ken Throckmorton, James Churchman, Calvin Burton, Calvin Burton, Jr., Harold Bay, and Don Tugman.
