Albert Edwin Shelton was born June 4, 1914, to Albert and Bethel Winn Shelton, in Texas, and passed from this life Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in Meridian Nursing Home in Comanche, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-eight.

Albert was a World War II veteren and worked as a carpenter. He married Elmira Bounds and she preceded him in death in March of 2002.

Survivors include: two daughters - Pat Wiggins and Bellie Shelton, both of San Francisco, CA; one brother, Gene and his wife Irene Shelton of Comanche, OK; one sister, LaVelda Foster of Comanche. OK; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Shelton were at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2002, with Dow Pannell officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.

Pallbearers were: Rick Shelton, Terry Shelton, Tod Shelton, Corey Ralls, Thomas McDonald, and Mark Gardenhire.
