Wanda Jean Thomas

Wanda Jean Thomas was born November 14, 1944 in Richmond, California to Alice Bernice (Green) and James Moses Hicks. She passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 76. She was a nurse's aide in several different hospitals for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and especially bird watching. She was a member of the Denton First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Pilot Point, Texas.

She is survived by her children - Melissa Green and her husband Michael, Joel Thomas and wife Paula, seven siblings - Truey Hicks, Linda Mann, Vivian Turner, Paul Hicks, Melvin Hicks, Jeff Hicks, and Gina Westbrook, five grandchildren -Zachary Green, Vanessa Kirkland, J.D. Kram, Savannah Kram, and Kayla Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter - Dawn Kram, two brothers -Nathan and Reece, and one sister - Donna Cox.

Graveside service will be Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2:30 at Ryan Cemetery with Jerry Turner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12-2PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan.
